Dispute Resolution

The Building Industry can be complex to understand for Owners, Strata Managers and Owner/Builders. Each building is unique, in location, age, build and type, and for this reason it is important to get expert advice that is specific to you and your problem or dispute.

There are so many pitfalls and different things that you need to look out for if you are contracting someone to do some work for you. They need to be licensed, you need to ensure that contracts are exchanged (where applicable), you need to have a clear understanding of the contract, the cost and what is included. You also need to know how to make a variation, or what the cooling off period is. Whew! That's just a start!

If you have a building dispute with any of the following parties, Remedial Building may be able to help you out:

  • Builders
  • Tradesmen eg, Plumbers, tilers, waterproofer, renderer, bricklayer
  • Insurance Companies
  • Local Council
  • Sydney Water
  • Neighbours

We can help you to resolve your issue by providing an Independent Assessment of your situation, and then working with you to provide the best possible outcome.

Remedial Building can provide Expert Witness Reports, which may help to resolve issues through the Courts, or the Consumer, Trader and Tenancy Tribunal (CTTT). We can also make representations on your behalf. Sometimes the issue does not even need to make it to the courts or tribunal, and we can assist you in solving it before legal intervention is required.
